  • OPTIFAST® Programme
    • This programme has an inclusion and exclusion criteria. We will determine during the first consultation if the programme is indicated for you. • The OPTIFAST® Programme is a dietitian-supervised Very Low-Calorie Diet (VLCD). A VLCD is a low carbohydrate, total food replacement for the dietary management of obesity. It provides 800 calories per day (during the initial, Intensive Phase), whilst still consisting of sufficient protein, fatty acids, carbohydrates, and micronutrients for safe, but rapid weight loss. • VLCD’s have been shown to be very effective in the management of obesity, with weekly weight losses averaging approximately 1-2.5kg per week. • Other benefits include improved insulin sensitivity, blood pressure, triglycerides, sleep apnoea and blood sugar levels. • There are 4 phases of the Programme. We will determine your unique needs and tailor make your programme based on your lifestyle and weight loss goals. • Once ready to transition, I will provide you with an individualised meal plan that you can continue with long-term. • The programme will be explained thoroughly during the first consultation (60min)and a history taking and needs assessment will be done. • Follow up consultations every 2 weeks are needed for thorough monitoring during the Intensive Phase of the programme • InBody120 analysis will be done at every follow up (weight, skeletal muscle mass, percentage body fat, visceral fat, basal metabolic rate, etc.)
  • DNA Testing
DNA Testing • DNAlysis nutrigenomics tests are the key to gaining a greater understanding about possible lifestyle, supplement and nutritional interventions that you may require for optimal health. • The test results highlight your individual genetic makeup and give me, as your dietitian, a deeper insight into nutrition and lifestyle interventions which may be needed. I will do this by translating the DNA results into practical guidelines and a tailormade meal plan. • You will require an initial consultation (60min) during which a history taking and needs assessment will be done as well as the DNA test. • DNA results take about 2 weeks to be analyzed. Once I receive your results, I will prepare your meal plan and we will arrange a feedback session. • InBody120 analysis will be done at every consultation. • The following DNAlysis tests can be done: o DNA Diet o DNA Health o DNA Mind o DNA Sport o DNA Oestrogen o DNA Skin o DNA Resilience o DNA Active o DNA Smile o Grow Baby o Med Check

It is so much fun!
Take my word for it!

FITNESS

By definition, Rebounding is a type of aerobic exercise that is performed while jumping on a mini-trampoline, but it is so much more than that!

It is the most fun you will have while becoming fitter and leaner and building muscle mass and strength. While rebounding, the body needs to work twice as hard to defy gravity, and this impacts all the cells of our bodies, bringing about the following benefits (to name a few):

1. It is one of the best low-impact exercises and it is truly meant for everyone of any age!

2. It assists with indigestion and reduces bloating.

3. It enhances the body’s natural detoxification system by getting the lymphatic system going.

4. It has anti-inflammatory effects on the body due to stimulation of the lymphatic system.

5. It strengthens the heart, by working the cardiovascular system, which in turn assists in circulating oxygen throughout the body.

6. Rebounding gives your body an increased G-force (or gravitational load), which improves muscle strength and capacity.

7. It increases endurance.

8. It improves balance and coordination (especially important for kids).

9. Rebounding can help to reduce the risk of chronic diseases by increasing insulin sensitivity, heart health, and body composition while decreasing blood and fat mass.

10. It is so, so much fun! Take my word for it.
